2026 Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo Kicks Off in Hangzhou, Showcasing Industry’s Next Decade
Ganzhou, Jiangxi, China – August 23, 2026 – The 2026 Global Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo officially opened on July 9 at the Hangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing together over 1,500 industry chain source factories, 300 full-chain service providers, and more than 40 global cross-border platforms from North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Record-Breaking Scale
The three-day expo, themed “In Hangzhou · See the Future of Cross-Border E-Commerce,” covers an exhibition area of 70,000 square meters, marking a significant upgrade from previous editions. The event is co-hosted by multiple mainstream media and exhibition enterprises with guidance from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

First-Ever “AI + Cross-Border E-Commerce” Zone
For the first time, the expo features a dedicated “AI + Cross-Border E-Commerce” zone, showcasing AI applications in intelligent product selection, content generation, multi-language services, marketing promotion, and supply chain management.
The zone gathers over 100 specialized AI service providers, covering all core aspects of the industry chain. An immersive experience area allows enterprises to test intelligent tools on-site, with potential improvements including a 50% reduction in product selection cycles and 30% reduction in operational costs.
Major Projects Land in Hangzhou
At the opening ceremony, five major cross-border e-commerce projects were signed to establish operations in Hangzhou, including the Google Cross-Border E-Commerce Acceleration Center, the noon China headquarters project, the Wildberries platform project, and global operation headquarters for two cross-border brand projects.
These projects span global platforms, brand operations, digital marketing, and industry services, further enriching Hangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce ecosystem.
Hangzhou’s Decade of Leadership
2015 saw the establishment of China’s first cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone in Hangzhou. Over the past decade, Hangzhou has consistently pioneered institutional and model innovations in digital trade. The city has ranked in the top tier in the Ministry of Commerce’s assessments for three consecutive times.
