Family United Home Health Care Announces Two Community Bingo Events for St. Peters Seniors This Summer
ST. PETERS, Mo. – Jul 1, 2026 – Family United Home Health Care will host two free community events this summer, part of a new initiative called the Summer Discovery Series, aimed at reducing isolation among older adults in the St. Peters area.
The first event, Bingo Social, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The second, Bingo & Community Connections, follows on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the same time. Both will take place at Family United West in St. Peters, Missouri, and are open to the public at no cost.
The events come as social isolation continues to be identified as a significant health risk for older adults, with research linking it to higher rates of depression, cognitive decline, and cardiovascular disease. Family United Home Health Care says the Summer Discovery Series was created specifically to address that gap, using bingo as a low barrier way to bring people together.
“A lot of the people we work with just want somewhere to go and someone to talk to,” said a member of the staff at Family United Home Health Care. “Bingo gives people an easy reason to show up. Once they’re here, they end up talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. That’s really the point of these events.”
Each event will include bingo games, prizes, and time for attendees to talk with one another. The July 1 event will also introduce guests to the Family United Adult Day Center, while the July 15 event will focus on the broader range of services Family United provides to seniors and their families.
