NEW YORK, NY – October 20, 2026 – Dark Passage Films has released the official trailer for Plucked, a 2026 movie that blends dark comedy with the social tensions of Gilded Age New York. Following its exclusive trailer reveal by ComingSoon.net on October 7, 2026, the trailer is now available to watch online. Directed by Usher Morgan and Katie Vincent, this indie film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 13, 2026.

The film stars Katie Vincent (Pickings, HomeBound), Jared Canfield (The Blacklist), Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black), J. Anthony Crane (Outer Banks), and Susan Gallagher (Cobra Kai).

Plucked opened the 2026 Manhattan Film Festival and has received recognition at independent film festivals, including Best Feature at the East Village New York Film Festival.

Early reviews have highlighted the film’s dark humor, period setting, and increasingly volatile dinner-party scenario.

“A deliciously vicious dinner party in a world you can’t resist entering.” Lapacazo Sandoval, New York Amsterdam News (Curtain Raiser)

“Imagine Wuthering Heights without all the longing and yearning, where the characters say what they think, and the conversations are as dangerous as the secrets they reveal.” Amarachi Ndukwe, The Daily Read

“The result is a handsome, entertaining and increasingly volatile period feature that makes a very bad evening for its characters into a rather enjoyable one for the audience.” Carl Burgess, Screen Critix.

“By combining period drama, dark humour and psychological tension, Plucked creates an engaging portrait of a marriage in collapse.” Alton Williams, Battle Royale With Cheese

Set in Gilded Age New York, Plucked centers on Katherine Greene, who resolves to divorce her emotionally unstable husband. Her decision collides with a dinner party intended to preserve appearances. As secrets surface and tempers flare, the gathering descends into chaos, jealousy, and escalating revenge.

The film was produced on a reported budget of $300,000 and shot over 32 days at Woodbine Cottage, a historic 1873 mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. The production also sourced costumes from Ukrainian artists during the early months of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

With a runtime of 110 minutes, Plucked is scheduled to open in select theaters on November 13, 2026, followed by a video-on-demand (VOD) release on January 15, 2027.
