Philadelphia, PA – September 22, 2026 –<\/strong> Author and producer Antonne M. Jones (The Family: A Philadelphia Mob Story) today announced the international expansion of Equal Verdicts, transforming the Philadelphia true-crime project into a multi-platform media franchise.<\/p>\n

Produced by Amora Productions, the project launches as a 10-episode vertical series presented in English, Spanish, and German, ahead of a feature film scheduled for production in Q2 2027.<\/p>\n

The series revisits the tragic December 28, 2000, Lex Street Massacre in West Philadelphia, where ten people were shot and seven killed. Equal Verdicts utilizes archival footage, courtroom documentation, and investigative narration to examine the botched initial prosecution, the subsequent conviction of four different men, and the lingering human consequences of both legal outcomes.<\/p>\n

“Equal Verdicts is an intellectual-property ecosystem connecting literature, mobile vertical entertainment, and feature film,” said Jones. “Our Dominican Republic premiere bridges Philadelphia history, Latino culture, and modern mobile storytelling to bring this story to a global audience.”<\/p>\n

To celebrate the global release, Amora Productions will host the Equal Verdicts International Premiere, Cultural Celebration, and Industry Mixer on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Sosúa, Puerto Plata, featuring a live panel discussion, multilingual screening, and global livestream.<\/p>\n

Originally launched as the book Equal Verdicts: The Lex Street Massacre and Two Verdicts That Shook the City of Philadelphia, the project has expanded to include an audiobook, television treatments, vertical mobile episodes, and a New Jersey-based feature film.<\/p>\n
