The updated app is now available.

Version 2.0 builds on Door 24’s approach of documenting progress beyond a traditional day-count streak. Users can create a private record of their experiences and milestones, allowing previous progress to remain part of their history rather than being represented solely by a single consecutive-day number.

“Every other sobriety app and program counts what you avoided,” said Brett Booker, co-founder of Door 24. “A number that resets to zero is telling you the last ninety days did not count. They did. We built an app to measure that.”

A central feature of the updated app is the ability to capture real-world progress as “Proofs.” Users can document milestones and experiences on a private timeline, creating a record they can review over time. Previous entries remain available even if a user experiences a setback.

The app also includes optional social accountability features. Users can share selected progress with trusted friends and family or participate in a small private group. “We like to say, ‘nobody quits alone here,’” said Thomas Laursen, co-founder of Door 24. “Sharing progress with people you trust can provide another layer of accountability, while users remain in control of what they share.”

Door 24 also includes Daily Quests, which provide short activities intended to give users a practical action to take during moments when they feel tempted to return to a habit. The app includes a Growth Score based on a 42-day rolling average rather than relying exclusively on a consecutive-day streak.

Privacy is enabled by default, with users controlling whether and what progress they share with others. Door 24 is free to download on iOS and Android.

The company says the updated approach is intended to help users focus on the progress they are making and the habits they are building, rather than viewing a setback as a complete reset.

Door 24: Get Sober & Evolve is now available for download through the company’s website at https://door24.app/.

About Door 24

Door 24 Technologies LLC is a wellness technology company founded by Brett Booker and Thomas Laursen in Aliso Viejo, California.
