Ontario, Canada – July 31, 2026 – <\/strong>Andromedia Distribution Inc.<\/a> today announced its third feature film, Lake Patrol<\/em>, a wacky, fun-filled comedy and heartfelt tribute to Canada, cottage country, and the great Canadian summer. Principal photography begins September 7 on Rice Lake, Ontario, marking the latest chapter in Andromedia’s growing slate of homegrown theatrical productions.<\/p>\n

Directed by Drew Antzis and produced by Samuel Dever, with a screenplay by Bill Dever, Lake Patrol<\/em> tells the story of a beloved lake under siege by a crew of greedy developers with big plans and zero respect for cottage country tradition — until an unlikely militia of chronically inebriated beavers stumbles, splashes, and staggers its way into the fight to save it. Equal parts slapstick and sincere, the film is a rollicking celebration of everything that makes a Canadian summer at the lake sacred: the docks, the bonfires, the boats, the neighbours who’ve known each other for forty years, and the wildlife that refuses to go down without a (wobbly) fight.<\/p>\n

The film stars Andromedia regulars Marc Rico Ludwig, Eddie Curry, and Lambros Bryan Demos, alongside a supporting ensemble of up-and-coming Canadian talent.<\/p>\n

“Lake Patrol is our love letter to cottage country — to every dock, every loon call, every summer that felt like it would never end,” said producer Samuel Dever. “And yes, it also stars beavers who can barely stand up straight. We wanted a comedy with heart, a real villain, and a cast of underdogs — feathered, furred, and otherwise — worth cheering for.”<\/p>\n

Production is currently underway securing key assets for the shoot, including jet skis and boats, to fully capture the lake-set comedy’s action and the scale of the fight to defend it.<\/p>\n
