LOS ANGELES – August 26, 2026 – Few invitations in Chantal Leduc’s career have carried the same emotional weight as Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda in Taormina. For the former international model and stylist, who has spent a lifetime immersed in high fashion, this experience felt less like another event and more like a return to the very essence of why she fell in love with fashion.

That sense of meaning is deeply rooted in Taormina itself, a location that holds a particularly important place in the history of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda. The very first Alta Moda presentation took place there in July 2012, marking the launch of the house’s Alta Moda collection and serving as a deeply personal tribute to Sicily, Domenico Dolce’s homeland. The inaugural event unfolded over several days, with presentations at the ancient Teatro Antico and the former San Domenico monastery, now the iconic San Domenico Palace.

Against this historical backdrop, returning to Taormina for this year’s celebration made the experience feel even more meaningful.

Over four extraordinary days, the town once again became a stage for Italian artistry, craftsmanship and culture. The women’s and men’s collections were presented across historic Sicilian locations, creating a striking dialogue between extraordinary fashion and centuries-old architecture.

While the settings were undeniably spectacular, what resonated most with Chantal was the exceptional craftsmanship behind each piece. Alta Moda is defined not only by the final garment, but also by the precision, time and dedication required to bring it to life.

This appreciation deepened as she observed the seamstresses working behind the scenes, whose expertise ensures every gown is flawlessly constructed and perfectly fitted. Though largely unseen, their hands are essential to the artistry of Alta Moda. For Chantal, recognizing these incredibly talented women became one of the most meaningful parts of the experience.

Both the women’s and men’s shows were spectacular, each offering a powerful interpretation of Dolce & Gabbana’s deep connection to Sicily. The historic locations themselves became part of the storytelling, creating an atmosphere that was both dramatic and unforgettable.

The experience concluded with a joyful final celebration filled with music, dancing and festivity, highlighted by an unforgettable performance by Jennifer Lopez.

The connection to Dolce & Gabbana is also becoming a personal part of Chantal’s own next chapter.
