KaamGenie™, a Delhi-headquartered company that launched across Delhi NCR this month, is built to break that pattern. The company publishes every price for every service tier on its website — kaamgenie.com & App— before the customer calls. Every crew member who arrives at a customer’s door wears a uniformed t-shirt, carries a verified ID, and is trained to a documented standard. Every completed job ends with before-and-after photographs.
The company was founded by Mohib Alam, a Delhi-based entrepreneur who spent Over 19 years in customer-service roles in Domestic & International market, before turning to the home-services industry.
“I lived the broken experience for nearly two decades — first as someone working in service, then as a customer trying to get a plumber, an electrician, a deep-cleaning crew to my own house in South Delhi,” Alam said. “Every single time the same pattern: I’d call, they’d quote one price on the phone, charge another on the doorstep, do half the job, and disappear. After a while you stop expecting anything else from this industry. That is the part KaamGenie was built to change — not the work itself, but the expectation.”
Alam’s diagnosis of the industry’s problem is structural, not personal. The home-services market in India turns over more than [verify: ₹50,000 crore] every year and employs millions of workers. Most of those workers are honest, most are underpaid, and most earn less than they should because they compete on visible price against operators willing to cut corners customers cannot see.
KaamGenie’s response is operational. The company publishes a complete price list on its website — every tier, every variation, GST-inclusive for residential. It puts a verified ID on every crew member, runs ID verification at onboarding, and trains every new hire on a standardised process before the first solo job.
“We didn’t invent any of these ideas,” Alam said. “Banks ID-verify their staff. Hospitals document their procedures. Food delivery publishes its prices. We are just bringing the same baseline to home services in India — and it took building the company from scratch to do it, because no existing operator was willing to.”
KaamGenie™ is operational across Delhi NCR and currently serves South Delhi, Central Delhi, and parts of East and West Delhi, with full expansion into Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad planned over the next two quarters. Few home-services are live at launch but will roll out more in 2026-2027— covering residential, society and RWA, and commercial customers.
Annual maintenance contracts are available from day one.
