FondCircle Launches FBP-A2 to Make Blood Pressure Tracking Simpler During Pregnancy and Beyond
Irvine, United States – September 03, 2026 – FondCircle launched the FBP-A2 Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor in the United States, an FDA 510(k)-cleared monitor clinically validated for use during pregnancy and in adults with diabetes. With a large display, voice guidance and connected records, the FBP-A2 is built to make clinician-recommended home monitoring easier to fit into everyday life.
“Pregnancy already comes with enough uncertainty. Checking blood pressure at home should feel straightforward, not overwhelming,” said Sonia Gao,Product Manager at FondCircle. “We designed the FBP-A2 with pregnant people and adults with diabetes in mind. For these groups, reliable blood pressure readings can be especially important, which is why population-specific clinical validation was central to its development.”
A number worth watching – before and after delivery
For many people, blood pressure is a number they see briefly at a prenatal visit. But it can change between appointments, and high blood pressure may not cause obvious symptoms. ACOG (the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists) notes that severe or uncontrolled hypertension can affect both mother and baby, while pre-eclampsia can appear during pregnancy or after childbirth.
For women with chronic hypertension, ACOG recommends home monitoring for one to two weeks after birth, when blood pressure may rise; the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) advises continued attention to urgent maternal warning signs throughout pregnancy and the year after delivery. Used as part of a care plan, home readings can help users notice changes and give clinicians more context.

Built for the realities of home monitoring
The FBP-A2 addresses everyday frictions that can make a monitoring routine harder to maintain. Its 5.7-inch backlit screen keeps systolic, diastolic and pulse readings easy to see, while optional voice guidance reads results aloud. Motion detection helps identify arm movement during measurement, and the included cuff fits upper-arm circumferences from 22-45 cm / 8.7-17.7 in.
Instead of leaving each reading as an isolated number, the FBP-A2 displays a seven-day trend and stores 250 readings for each of two users, plus guest mode. Bluetooth sync with the FondCircle App lets users review changes and share selected records with trusted family members or caregivers.

“Technology only helps when it feels simple enough to use consistently,” said James Sun, CEO of FondCircle. “Our goal was to take friction out of the routine while giving people a record they can use in a meaningful conversation with a healthcare professional.”
Clinical Evidence Supports Use During Pregnancy
Not every blood pressure monitor evaluated in a general adult population has also been assessed during pregnancy. The American Heart Association advises consumers to choose an automatic upper-arm monitor validated for the intended user and specifically calls out pregnancy. FondCircle publishes the FBP-A2 study populations, methods, results and supporting device records in its Clinical Evidence Library.
In dedicated studies, the FBP-A2 fulfilled both validation criteria under ISO 81060-2:2018/Amd.1:2020 in a combined pregnancy cohort and in adults with diabetes. Pregnancy findings apply to the combined cohort, not as separate validation of individual subgroups. The FBP-A2 also has a public AccessGUDID record and is listed on the U.S. Blood Pressure Validated Device Listing.
Important: The FBP-A2 measures and records blood pressure; it does not diagnose preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, diabetes or any other condition. Home monitoring complements but does not replace prenatal or postpartum care, regular medical visits or professional diagnosis. Users should follow their healthcare professional’s instructions and seek medical care for concerning readings or symptoms.
Different routines call for different options
Home blood pressure monitoring is not one-size-fits-all. Some users place greater value on repeated readings or need a larger cuff, which is where the FBP-A3 and FBP-A3XL fit within the FondCircle portfolio.
The FBP-A3 and FBP-A3XL offer TripleCheck, which automatically takes three readings 60 seconds apart and displays the average. The FBP-A3XL includes a 40-52 cm / 15.7-20.5 in cuff for larger upper arms.
Availability
The FBP-A2 is in stock at FondCircle.com for $64.99.It is FSA/HSA eligible (reimbursement depends on the user’s plan). The FBP-A3 and FBP-A3XL are also available through FondCircle.com.
