PITTSBURGH, PA – Acclaimed guitarist, singer-songwriter, and mindfulness educator Patti Spadaro will release her new single, “Mystic Misfit,” on Friday, June 12, 2026. Blending soulful rock, improvisational jam-band energy, and spiritual introspection, the track delivers an uplifting message about authenticity, balance, and human connection.

Known for her fluid lead guitar work and heartfelt songwriting, Spadaro combines the two worlds that define her life and career: music and mindfulness. In addition to performing and recording, she teaches college courses in yoga, meditation, and a class she developed called “Mindfulness in Music.” “Mystic Misfit” reflects those influences with flowing guitar riffs, introspective lyrics, and an expansive musical atmosphere that feels both grounded and transcendent.

The song gradually builds into a soaring bridge inspired by nature, meditation, and higher consciousness, as Spadaro sings about breathing deeply among the trees, feeling energy, and “tuning in” to higher vibrations. Her soulful guitar solo provides an emotional release filled with melodic improvisation and uplifting tones.

At the heart of the song is the repeated refrain: “Meet me in the middle.”

“For me, that lyric has several meanings,” Spadaro explains. “Personally, it reminds me to find my own center and stay present. But it’s also about connecting with people from a grounded place. If we listen to each other more deeply, maybe we can discover some common ground and more unity.”

The single’s cover art was photographed by Spadaro herself during a yoga retreat in Colorado. Captured on her iPhone, the image of clouds parting to reveal a heart-shaped patch of blue sky immediately resonated with the song’s themes of openness, hope, and transformation.

“Mystic Misfit” follows the success of Spadaro’s acclaimed single “Glass Shatters,” an empowering anthem celebrating women’s resilience and breaking societal barriers. The song reached #95 on the UK iTunes chart, #12 on the Independent Music Network chart, #13 on Cashbox, #20 on National Radio Hits, and #78 on the World Indie Music Charts. Its music video also won “Best Music Video” at the Golden Lion International Film Festival and received an Honorable Mention at the Liberty Film Awards.

A respected figure in Pittsburgh’s music community and beyond, Patti has opened for legendary acts including Eddie Van Halen, Little Feat, and Melvin Seals & JGB. She is also set to tour with the acclaimed all-female Grateful Dead tribute band Brown Eyed Women in July 2026.
